This is my save the date card. We printed these on picture paper and put them into photo sleeves that have a magnet on them. This was a more cost-efficient way of doing what we wanted.
I wanted to have the wood in the background, but after getting the envelopes
I decided to go with the white for more contrast.
These are my wedding invites and RSVP postcards.
*Boy is it nice to do all this yourself and not have to pay anyone.*

These were ideas I had for the layouts of Western Carolina University's School of Art and Design website.
The school is surrounded by mountains, as it is in a valley. The school markets itself off them. So took that philosophy and went with it. In the 1st image I made the cardboard have a contour of the mountains since I believe in repetition.
In the Art Dept. they also emphasize not to just rely on your tools (computer, camera, etc.) to get what you want out of your work, but to make sure you use your hands and get to the basics. That's why I thought of using this sort of paper/wood/cardboard feel.

Package design
This was a class project.
1. Be a package
2. Be based on a state park or land mark
3. Be a product to teach kids something
I picked the Oregon Trail to teach kids how to create a fire in the woods to cook. I stitched a wallet by hand using card stock and thread. On the outside there is an image of the Oregon Trail and description of the contents. The contents help make the fire with instructions. Also there are linseed packets shaped as the state of Oregon with facts on them about the trail. These packets are for your tent to help make the rain run off faster.
